More Baby Dragons!

Yes, it's the All Baby Dragons All the Time Channel!

I'm keeping the green speckled girl, but the other two will need new homes.

This entry is also posted at Dreamwidth. Comment at either location, as you prefer.

You're making me jealous. I've been stalking the FR website hoping they'll reopen registration soon. Looks like a fun game.

It's a lot of fun, but they're definitely suffering from some capacity issues.

It has to be other people in the game. There's a feature called The Crossroads. You send a Crossroads invitation to the other party in the transaction, and you propose a deal: a particular dragon in exchange for another dragon, some Treasure (basically, in-game money, which comes from a variety of in-game sources, such as arcade games), Jewels (which represent money that you either earn very very slowly - you get one per day for keeping all your dragons happy and healthy - or pay RL money to get), or anything, really: battle stones (which are like spells for your dragons to use in Coliseum battles), apparel, food items, familiars (which are pets for your dragons), etc.

If you want to give another person a dragon, you take something token in exchange: 1 Treasure, a cheap food item (like a bug or a sparrow or something), or whatever. I sold the little Goth-y dragon to telophase for 1 T (and dibs on a future green dragon, should she hatch one - that's strictly between us, there is no game mechanism for it), for example. And oyceter over on DW traded one of her new hatchlings for the stripy pink guy.

If none of my game friends take the hatchlings I don't want to keep, I can sell them to anyone who wants them at the Auction House (it's not really auctions, it's just players selling things), or try selling them to other members of my Flight on our private Flight forum for a discount or even essentially give them away, or raise them for a while and then Exalt them, which means they go to serve the dragon gods. You get some treasure when you do that, and your Flight gets points.

The Flight that has the most points is Dominant. Dominance is checked once a week: the flight that is officially declared Dominant gets extra stuff for its members that week, like discounts on stuff from the Marketplace (which is where you buy things from the game instead of from other players), extra Gathering turns (which is where you go out and get stuff - mostly food - for your dragons every day), and so on.

I'm in the Nature Flight, telophase is in the Light Flight. So theoreticaly we're on different teams.
