Score Four!

In all the business of yesterday, I forgot to say that I also had a nice, productive stop at a bookstore between appointments. I'd been thinking that all the bustling business district of Friendship Heights needed was a bookstore, and there it was, a shiny new Borders. And I found:

  • Samurai Deeper Kyo, vol. 28
  • Wild Adapter, vol. 5
  • Hikaru no Go, vol. 12
  • Hoshin Engi, vol. 6

I've already finished the SDK and WA ... . (And yes, I should blog Hikaru no Go, considering that I've been reading it for a couple of months now ... .)

In Friendship Heights, anyway!

I enjoyed it a lot - I should blog it this weekend.

I checked immediately after leaving that comment, and all my usual DC/VA places had it too -- but I waited until the monsoon was done before actually heading out. Oh, those boys. *sniffles* And I could not stop giggling at little Shouta thinking Toki's so cool like a Kamen Rider character...

I'm gonna save my squeeing for my review!

Aaagghhh, not in my Borders yet!

I may have to just order from Amazon. Might as well: I've got Prime, and it'll keep me from distracting myself from work this weekend.

Awww ... !

Actually, the vagueries of when the bookstores put stuff out is something that constantly bothers me. There's an official publisher's release date, but it seems to have no effect on when the books actually show up for sale.

Bwah, and I just got the PBR/Spindrift and Stigma DJ package today, thanks! I'm a little scared to look at the doujinshi now, though -- I didn't realize it was by Bunny Urasawa, and having seen a bunch of her NC-17 Gojyo/Sanzo books, I'm more than a little frightened now... ;)

Heeee. :D If you can't read Japanese, except for one or two panels, the dj is perfectly innocent. XD If you can read Japanese, I have no idea what it's like.

Yeah, normally I bemoan my lack of language skill, but in this case I'm rather grateful for it. Knowing what her usual DJ can be like makes me think that if none of the art is too overtly scarring, she may have saved the fucked-up stuff for the text and I am bound to be happier Just Not Knowing so I can sit back and enjoy the pretty pictures. XD

Does that mean we can look forward to another one of your lovely SDK reviews soon? Yay :D

Hmmm, yeah, I need to do that! Now here did it go? My guess is that the Mr. has it on his side of the bed ... the radiator on that side is piled high with books and manga ... .
