I hope I don’t have to explain that the test is meant to be at least partially humorous - don't take it too seriously [OK, I edited some of this. I just could not deal with putting the original garbled text in my LJ ... .] winked
Take the test again!

Heh, I don't know how obedient I am. But it's true that I don't like conflicts. And I do wish I could discuss things with him more rationally. The number (6) answer is the really weird one: that was probably true when I got married. But here it is 24 years later ... .

I approve of the rest of the answers. That's a rather interesting piece of fluff!

I'm pleased that so many of us won't cheat and think love is an equal relationship. No wonder we ship 585!!

Interesting! I think you're the only one I've seen so far with that answer for 7.

The test is surprisingly deep for one of these things!

Heh, and here I wonder how many people ended up with sheep for #1 just because they were trying to think practically for a post-apocalyptic scenario? ;)

As for 6 -- um, I just always wanted to have a pet pterosaur. Honest. *looks shifty-eyed*

LOL! Yes, I confess that my thoughts about the sheep were along the lines of "Hmmm, you can shear 'em, milk 'em, eat 'em, and they get by on forage that humans can't really eat. We have a winner!"

XD

It's amazing how consistent the answers to 5 and 7 have been in most of this crowd.

6 made me want to give you a hug, imotou-chan ... .

Ha, yes, and add in "and you can get nice soft leather from them, and they mature faster and eat less than horsies", and you've got pretty much my line of reasoning too. (And 3 was *really* hard 'cause I didn't want any of them to go extinct...I ended up picking crocs only because I thought there was the best chance that other predators might be able to step up and fill their niche...)

Hugs are always welcome, of course -- although that's honestly something I've been pretty cynical and pessimistic about even before I got out of grade school, never mind more recent experiences. And I really honestly do yearn to have a tiny pet pterosaur -- I saw a similarly sparrow-sized fossil at a museum in the late 80s and fell in love with the little things. TEENY TINY FLYING DINOSAUR, EEEEE! DO WANT!

>>TEENY TINY FLYING DINOSAUR, EEEEE! DO WANT!<<

Like Hakuryuu!

I picked sharks for my bad guys because there's just no reasoning with a shark, and I find them scarier than any of the other critters, too. I quite liked the analysis of that choice: yes, Granny Weatherwax's choice for the one real sin, treating people as things!

Ha, I totally didn't even think of the Jeep connection! Although he's quite a bit bigger than my tiny dream dinosaur -- his body looks to be about the size of a small ball python, with a proportionate wingspan, so he's closer to a large parrot with odd proportions. I wanted a pterosaur no bigger than a sparrow or canary -- you know how weak I am for miniaturization. :)

And really, there's no reasoning with any sort of hungry predator, especially if they're bigger and stronger than you! But that really was a reluctant choice for me since I don't find any of those beasties inherently squicky or scary in the abstract, they're really all rather beautiful to me and all have their place in the natural world, and most snakes except for the hot species and a few of the largest pythons and constrictors are harmless to anything bigger than them. And with sharks in particular, there was just the added fretfulness of wiping out the preferred physical forms of somebody's 'aumakua -- not that I don't realize that all the other choices have been revered in other cultures, but that doesn't hit me as close to home, y'know? Snakes and lions and crocs I only ever saw in controlled circumstances at the zoo, but sharks -- you grow up on an island, you spend a lot of time in the water, and you have to know the ocean and its denizens are beyond human control...

That analysis does fit well in its way, though, because much as I dislike living creatures being treated like unfeeling things, I can sort of twist my brain around hard enough to imagine a point where someone is acting cruelly with a totally clean conscience because they don't think of their victim as being capable of feeling pain. Whereas true cruelty to me implies that the perpetrator knows they are deliberately causing suffering, and delights in it. They're both causing pain, but the "they're just things" sort might be coming from a place of misguided ignorance, and if so, perhaps they have a chance at redemption; but the ones who are choosing to be cruel with full malice aforethought, that's flat-out evil to me...

(Speaking of which...the burned Baltimore pibble didn't make it. T_T Not linking to any of the news stories because they'll make you sad, but the kind police officer who tried to save her has a beautiful blue pittie girl of her own...love those silly bat-ears.)

Awww, poor pibble!     T-T

What a lovely coat and eyes on the officer's girl!

Yeah...at least she got a lot of love from all the vet hospital staff in her last few days. They even took her outside for the final shot so she could see sunshine... *bawls*

And Officer Teel clearly loves her gorgeous pup to bits -- she seems like such a nice, kind-hearted lady from all the interviews.

I see the reward for information leading to cracking the case has grown to more than $20,000. I hope this leads more people whose lifestyles can support doing so to adopt shelter and rescue puppies.

I was also pleased to see the police commissioner praise the officer's parents for the job they did raising her ... nothing happens in a vacuum.

Awww, yes, I just saw video clips of the award ceremony and now I'm all teary-eyed again. What a handsome family! I'm in love with her mother's blouse.

Oooh, didn't mean to pry, then! As you can see, this crew quite likes talking about personality tests/memes. And it's always interesting to see someone who isn't ending up with more-or-less the same set of answers.

But your answers for (4) and (7) contradict each other, rather ... .

I won't lie, it can be rough having another person to consider all the time. But I don't think I could live any other way - anyway, I'm used to it by this point!

I don't think it's psychopathology as long as you don't use it to justify cruel behavior to others ... and it doesn't sounds like you do.

That sheep in particular is priceless, isn't it?

The meme was actually pretty interesting. I enjoy personality quizzes, especially when they seem to match up unexpectedly to reality. (I actually own several books about the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator - that's how hopelessly into this I am.)
